“Svetoch” Orphanage was established on the basis of ““Svetoch” Family and Family Relations Development Charitable Center” Social Fund in November 1999.

It was started from the street children forsaken by their parents and rejected by the society. In a three-room flat there were initially three those children gathered and then eleven and eighteen. There started the search for housing since the personal flat of Liliya Veniaminovna Solovyova, the former teacher, widow, where her 76-years old mother and the only son Vladimir lived together with her, was so small that actually all nooks were occupied. The teacher’ salary even working with double load was extremely not sufficient; the children used to clean front steps and to sell newspapers. However, the Lord did not leave us alone without assistance, since everything is held up by the God’s people: people of truth, peace and love! Those are the most people!

They helped us to get through: with their words, foodstuffs, clothes, to demonstrate to the children that the good wins, that They are needed. But their Happiness will be of special nature – hardened with labor at themselves and tireless combating of all vices of the society and the life situations, where the winners are the Humaneness and the Love, disinterested love to people, to the Homeland.

  
The Doctor Georgiy with whom we have been friends during seven years donated us money and we with the children bought a nice summer residence with a good small house and till the late autumn we raised the harvest there and made provisions for wintertime together. We stayed there till October 2000 and then we moved to a two-storied cottage which was presented to us by “KazakhOil” company with personal concern of its President, Nurlan Utebovich Balgimbayev.

Numbering 22 people we moved to the cottage in Sovkhoznaya street, house No. 2, near school No. 14. The house was absolutely empty: neither lamp, nor table, chair, bed. But the overwhelming joy and the Faith in the better future helped us and joined the children to the big united family. The sensitive heart of Nurlan Utebovich and His team showed concern for the children, they furnished that house and purchased all things necessary for household, furniture and clothes.

    
The great example of charity and love for people raised hopes in the children's breasts. They started to struggle actively against neglect of knowledge. Three children went to Russia for 2 years to study in the Lyceum for comprehensive personality development headed by Mikhail Petrovich Chshetinin. In his Lyceum the children successfully study the sciences with the immersion method and become students of the leading institutes of higher education in Russia including the Moscow State University. Eight of our foster children during two years were moved up into the next form twice a year in order to catch up with their coevals by the syllabus with success.

Ten children studied on charitable basis in the music school under the Kazakh National Academy of Music thanks to the help of the national artist of Kazakhstan Aiman Musakhadzhayeva.

The house is held by and stands on the live FAITH proved by our ancestry during millenniums and centuries! The objective of life of each of us is execution of the commandments: Love for the CREATOR and for the people! To learn to live honestly, to educate oneself and to carry light, peace and love to the society. To learn to work. To attend themselves: to clean, launder, cook, sew, make, look after household. To work in kitchen gardens: raise vegetables and fruits.
